Wellness Center, Fitness Classes, and Personal Training

The Y’s fitness and well-being activities go beyond just working out. In addition to the cardio and strength equipment in our wellness centers, we provide a variety of programs led by caring staff designed to nurture a healthy spirit, mind, and body at every age and life stage. At the Y, you can find classes and programs that promote well-being, reduce your risk for chronic disease, and help you reclaim your health. Our Ys also offer personal training to help you set and meet goals to live healthier and feel better. Active older adults can benefit from our SilverSneakers, water, and other specialized programs. Our land and water classes incorporate simple, easy-to-learn movements that inspire you to stay active and increase your heart rate with motivating music alongside supportive classmates and encouraging instructors.

Community Health Programs

Our community’s health struggles are well chronicled with the rise of obesity, type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, cancer, and other life-altering conditions. The Y is dedicated to helping people understand their risks, and provide the support needed to fight chronic disease, improve mobility, and lead healthier lives. Through our community health programs, the Family YMCA of Lancaster and Fairfield County is committed to changing the outcome for people facing significant health challenges and improving quality of life for our whole community.
