Our YMCA’s preschool program is operated on an experiential learning philosophy: children learn while doing. Daily lessons, based on a nationally recognized and creative curriculum, are created to boost development through age-appropriate activities and stimulating hands-on experiences, with a balance of teacher-directed versus child-directed play.

Our preschool is fully certified by the State of Ohio and is Step Up to Quality rated with a 4-star rating! Our qualified and well-trained staff provide safe, affordable, high-quality care so you can have peace of mind while you work to help your family succeed.

• Our Preschool is open from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday–Friday
• Preschool with and without Extended Care options are available
• Ages 3 to 5
• Children must be potty-trained
• We follow the Lancaster City School calendar with the following exceptions:

1. The first day of preschool will be August 18

2. We will be open August 22

3. We will offer School Day Out on December 22 and 23

4. We will be open on January 9

5. We will offer School Day Out on April 7 – 10
