Our preschool program operates on an experiential learning philosophy where children learn by doing. Daily lessons use a nationally recognized curriculum designed to boost development through hands-on activities. We maintain a purposeful balance of teacher-directed and child-directed play to ensure every student is prepared for kindergarten.

SWIM LESSONS INCLUDED:

At the YMCA, we build more than just classroom skills. All preschool students receive swim lessons included in their tuition. It’s our way of ensuring every child in our care is confident and safe around the water.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

• Ages: 3 to 5 years (must be potty-trained).
• Hours: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Location: Robert K. Fox YMCA, 465 W. Sixth Ave. Lancaster, OH 43130.

IMPORTANT DATES:

We generally follow the Lancaster City School calendar. Please note the following specific dates for the upcoming term:

• First Day of Preschool: August 18
• Open for Regular Care: August 22 and January 9
• School Day Out Provided: December 22–23 and April 7–10
