Dance Tuition

Monthly Rate/per student

A $5.00 late fee/per class is applied the 2nd of each month.

The dance tuition is due by the 1st of each month (Sept. – May). The monthly dance tuition includes the following: costume fees, dance recital fee, dance recital T-shirt, dance recital bouquet, and a dance recital DVD. The average cost of the items highlighted above have been distributed equally among the nine months.

This monthly fee does not include: shoes, a prop (if one is chosen for recital), or some accessories (if chosen).

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available through United Way and Partners with Youth. Applications are available at the Welcome Center. If assistance is needed, please fill out an application.

Class Limits

In most classes, we try to keep the maximum number of students to 10 per class. If a class is full, we will do our best to accommodate your child. Please place your child's name and phone number on our waiting list at the Welcome Center at the Family Y.

Class Cancellations

Classes may be canceled or combined with another class by the dance coordinator due to class size, etc. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Make-Up Classes

In the event that a teacher must miss a scheduled class and in the event that classes are canceled due to bad weather, a make-up class will be offered at a later time.

Although we try our best to arrange make-up classes at the same day and time as your child's regular class, sometimes other days/times may be necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In some instances a substitute teacher may be provided.

Class Placement

When choosing a class level for your child, please go by the suggestions under each age group. The age groupings are merely guidelines. Students will be evaluated during the first month or two of their classes to try to ensure proper class placement.

Students may be moved to a class that better meets their needs and skill level. Please note that it is possible that the dance coordinator may move a child into a class this is listed as younger or older than their current age.

Let's Dance

Most of our dance staff is taking a much deserved rest after our annual dance recital. However, we will be offering 2 & 3 year old Creative Movement Toddler Classes this summer.

Please check our guides later as well as our website to see if any other classes have been added later this summer. Please look for information on the start of our new recital dance season in our Fall Program guide.

Fall Dance Classes start September 3!

Non-Performing Session Classes

Session classes are dance classes for children and adults that are held by session only and DO NOT get costumes and DO NOT perform in the recital or other performing events. *Please note that some session classes are not available Spring 2.*

2 & 3yr old-Adult Assisted Creative Movement Toddler Class

Create Movement teaches children to explore movement through music. It helps children to develop physical skills and channel energy. It also promotes creativity and imagination. This class provides an introduction to a dance classroom setting. In the class, students will learn about moving their bodies, the space around them, and each other. Creative Movement is a great way to show children connections between themselves and the rest of the world.
Children must be 2 years of age by first day of class.
