Lancaster YMCA Swim Team

The Lancaster YMCA Swim Team had a great 2015-16 season! The Stingrays placed 1st in Division II at the SEOWV 2016 Winter Championship meet and came in 2nd overall between all three Divisions! Then at the 2016 Great Lakes Zone Meet, they took 29 qualifying swimmers and came in 8th place out of 86 teams. After the Zone meet, the team went on to the 2016 YMCA Short Course National Meet in Greensboro North Carolina, taking 10 swimmers who qualified for the meet, the most ever in the team's history. The National Meet was an exciting time, especially for our swimmer's who attended for their first time. Our stand out swims go to Olivia Schmelzer who took 3rd in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 2nd in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Congratulations goes out to all the great swimming by the Stingrays this year!

It's been a fantastic year for the Stingrays and they are looking forward to the 2016 summer season. Registration for Summer Swim team is currently running through June 8th. If you'd like to be a part of the YMCA's summer swim team, please see the front desk about registration.
